: Every time you change your kernel you have to reinstall LILO, which you can do
: just by entering the command "lilo" as root.
make zlilo is supposed to handle it all for you.
it sounds as though you don't have the root=/dev/hd? or root=/dev/sd? line in
you /etc/lilo.conf Maybe you should boot from your floppy and have a look,
or if it has, try re-installing lilo by typing:
/sbin/lilo
if that doesn't work then get the lilo package and try re-installing it, to
see if it makes any difference.
What's Redhat 3.0.3 like. I tried installing (X install, pretty fancy) 2.1
but I decided that I would stick with Slackware 3.0 until debian 1.1 is
released that is.
Does anyone else have any comments on any of the distributions. If so then
post them here.
Ben.
