Well yeah you can format the drive ... but you will lose everything in LINUX (I think that is obvious, but just in case) What you have to do is run fdisk from dos and delete all the partitions, then boot up from a bootable DOS disk and format the drive, or I think you can go into CMOS and do it. Then you can install NT (why? I thought its purpose was for a real (well as real as MS can get) multi-user environment, ie it is a true server that is to be accessed from another machine). I dont know much about NT so plz don't flame me And as much as I hate MS, I would have to recommend 95. Mainly because it is probably easier, and will have more apps availiable for it. Plus I gather you have 486DX2/66 or better with 16mB or more RAM to run NT comfortably ( i think thats what it neededs) : I want to make 2GB drive : to have NT and Linux patition on each half and reformat 540MB for DOS. One more thing, why not have the NT/DOS partition on the 2 GIG and LINUX on the 500mB. Because you can access the DOS partition from LINUX, giving you virtualy 1.5 GIG from LINUX, and probably 2 from NT and Im not sure if DOS can read NT partition but either 1 GIG or 2 GIG from DOS Am I right in saying you cant access LINUX from a DOS partition (I mean the data, not loading with loadlin) But that is just me, you may have different ideas of what you are going to use the computer for. cu and have fun Cameron
