I am getting weird colours when running XF86_S3 at 16bpp. Xv and olvwm
seem to manage the colour set as if it was 8bpp but xdpyinfo said that
the colour display was 16 bits deep.

My configuration (XF86Config) has:
Section "Device"
    Identifier "Sleath 64 DRAM"
    VendorName "Diamond"
    BoardName "Sleath 64 DRAM"
    videoram 2048
EndSection
Section "Screen"
    Driver "accel"
    Device "Sleath 64 DRAM"
    Monitor "RandomMonitor-0"
    Subsection "Display"
        Depth 16
        Modes "1024x768" "640x480" "640x480" "800x600" "800x600"
    EndSubsection
EndSection

My numbers are
Linux 1.3.88, Xfree86 XF86_S3 3.1.2D
