PCMCIA problems

Has anyone had any experience getting PCMCIA to work on an Austin
notebook computer?

Both DOS and Windows 95 drivers have no problem using the PCMCIA
hardware, but the Linux drivers can't detect the slot.

Windows 95 says it's using the Databook chipset, which is supported
to my knowledge.
