Hi Mark, I use Linux all the time now for internet news, mail, and www. I am using Netscape 2.01 to do all this work once I have made a PPP connection. If you look in at zip.com.au/pub/linux you will find a PPP setup that you just load and update the username and password for your ISP account. The only problem I ran into was I hadn't set up my route default to ppp0. So just make sure you do a "route del default" followed by a "route add default ppp0" and you will be OK. It is also a good idea to run "ping -i 200 your.hostname" to ensure traffic on your connection otherwise some if not all ISP will logged you off after a certain time lapse. Hope this helps, Cheers Grahame .
