I had problems with Seyon, in that it waited for a dial tone which my
modem does not seem to be able to recognise! :-) I couldn't set it to
use X0 or X3 on the init string either!

I have set up CSLIP to my service provider, haven't had the time or
the inclination to do PPP as CSLIP works just fine. :-)

Just install DIP (Dial IP) and it will allow you to build scripts to
dial and then set the IP addresses. You can then do TELNET, FTP
whatever from your Linux box.

If you're running X there is even Netscape 2.0 available for Linux
which works a treat on my machine. I use it for news, mail and FTP
download some of the time.

If you want to play with PPP, its on the N series disks. There should
be a module for PPP and a couple of scripts. Look in /var/adm/packages
after you install to find out where everything lives. Read the doco
carefully!

With Linux, there is always some reading to do. Rarely is anything a
one-step procedure!

Hope this helps.
