Last night a came across a problem using ppp-2.2.0e with kernel 1.3.57
between 2 identical computers. PPPD negotiated BSD compression, however
after a few hundred K of data was passed thing went bad. It looks like the
code tables got out of sync and both sides acted like they were receiving
random data. The solution is to add '-bsdcomp' to your options file so that
bsdcomp is not negotiated for.
Cheers.
