Firstly, thanks to everyone who helped with my stupid question about Mitsumi drives. You'll be pleased to know that it's all working now. This problem relates to DPMS. It works - half way. The system is a P90, with an S3 card (X runs fine) and a KTX (rebadged Mag) monitor. I know that the monitor can be told to go into sleep mode because it did under os/2. Running setterm will get it go into standby mode under a plain console session. However, when I set the monitor to sleep after 5 mins on standby, it awoke - d'oh! Is there some way to make it go into sleep mode? Better yet, is some setting in X that will achieve the same results? Reg.
