Linux with access to a Novell Server is easy. You don't need ANYTHING extra for Linux. What you DO need is NETWARE-IP. This allows Novell Volumes to be mounted as NFS volumes under Linux. Works like a dream, Linux 1.1.59----1.3.xx. The downside, of course, is the cost of the extra cost of NETWARE/IP from Novell. It's it bit high, but we use it for backup with 8 Linux boxes which can all see our Novell Servers. The Novell servers all get backed up once a day. You can also gain access to your Novell print servers. These appear to Linux as remote serving lpds. Remeber to use an input filter 'if=addcr:' and declare it in your printcap file. The filter adds CR's to any LF's (and, for Lasers) removes <Backspace-underscore-Backspace> problems. Hope this helps...
