Diamond Stealth Video Cards

I saw a reference to Diamond Stealth video cards in the X-Windows
Benchmark periodical survey message - I thought they had incompatability
problems with Linux? The reason I ask is that I am starting to shop
around for a new system (which has to be cheapish *and* Linux hardware
compatible - go figure!) and some of the deals include Diamond video
cards - are the drivers now available for X-Windows? I must admit I
didn't take a lot of notice of the other drivers the last time I
installed X-Windows, but I can't remember it being included in XFree86 3.1.2.
