I have a ET4000 tsenglabs/ 4MB 240MB-Hard drive/ I have a SoundBlaster 16
card and CD_ROM
I repartitioned my HD to:
/dev/hda1 bootable 1=begin 1=start 235=end BLKS=61670 ID=6 DOS

with Linux I created 2 more partitions....
/dev/hda2 237 237 627 102637 82 Linux Swap

/dev/hda3 628 628 690 16537 83 LinuxNative
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have Slakware Linux on CD.
The PRoblem.............

I made the BOOT DISK (sbpcd) and the ROOT DISK....
I place the BOOT in and turn on the computer at the BOOT PROMPT (I type)
mount root=/dev/fd0 (to boot without a ramdisk)

Then it asks about creating a SWAP FILE, so I TYPE

/dev/hda1

then it has how many bytes big do I want the SWAPFILE...I've typed everything
from: 2096 to 15537

Ive also tried to use ---- /dev/hda2 & /dev/hda3...but I get ERRORS...

'After I type /dev/hda1 and say 8184MB's...it goes to the #-prompt...

So I type SETUP only to have the program hang up somewhere during the
SETUP.

BTW...I compressed my Hard Drive would that have anything to do with
it???

'At the BOOT prompt ive tried typing: RAMDISK hd=937,15,35

After running linux FDISK I once got an ERROR like
this.................
:calling ioctl()to re-read partition table
:syncing disk
:
:re-read table failed with ERROR 16: device or resource busy
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
---
I have no idea what is wrong..please help.
