I've been playing around with Linux for a week or so on a friend's 486, and have been very impressed with it, and am considering installing it on my system, as soon as I can afford the necessary hardware upgrades (i.e buying a decent sized HDD :-) ). At the same time, I also have another PC which I'd like to network to the (future) Linux box. ATM, it's connected via a part time Intersvr link under DOS^ (yuk!). Can anyone reccommend (preferably DOS based) s/w to network the DOS machine with the Linux machine? TCP/IP would be preferable, as this will also allow the Linux machine to become a local router for Internet destined TCP/IP traffic, as well as running the LAN itself. The networking hardware will most likely be Ethernet or other suitable networking cards. ... Nothing like a bit of typing practice on a Saturday night ;-) -- | Fidonet: Tony Langdon 3:632/367.2 | Internet: tlang@freeway.DIALix.oz.au
