Hmmm,
I'm none too sure I am setting this manually.
None of my INN configuration files present an XRef: header anywhere, except
for the "Pathost" variable, which I have at various times enabled and
disabled with no apparent trouble, or a solution either.
I'm using Knews to post, and it has a "Process XRefs" feature, but I am
neither sure what it does nor aware if it is the problem or not.
I'm still at a loss to what is causing this....
<rhetorical question, that someone perhaps can answer>
Is the problem perhaps with Suck itself (i.e.) a limitation of it's NNTP
implementation, or is it a deeper malaise within my INN files I'm
overlooking somewhere?
I"ll tend to give Suck the benefit of the doubt as it seems well coded
and simple and robust enough.
But I'm buggered if I can find a hitch in my INN setup (yet!)

I appreciate the workaround, understanding it is a hack, but really need
more information!
I wish the INN FAQs and guides were more complete!
Does anyone have a list of all the possible error messages and a
discourse anywhere?
It would make a great add in to the FAQ...
Thanks
Rachel
