Help?

I'm trying to install Linux but can't get my Mitsumi double speed CD
recognized. The CD player is connected to the IDE connector on a
SoundBlaster compatible (ACER) card.

The sound card is located at Port Address 220H, IRQ Channel 10, DMA
Channel 1.

The CD (Mitsumi FX Series (ATAPI IDE)) (Jumper set as slave) is at Port
Address 170H, IRQ Channel 15.

I've tried just about every Boot disk image. I would like to have the
CD recognized from the Boot disk so I can install from the CD.

Any help solving this puzzle is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
