Well, I just use LaTeX for all my reports/letters etc. I think it is as
easy to write reports and letters w/ LaTeX (Personal opinion of mine).
Since I can do whatever else w/ my computer at the same time when my
letters are being processed, it doesn't really matter if LaTeX is
"heavy"...

PS. And Word is pretty heavy monster too!
