If you don't run linux for lack of a word processor then you're misinformed. I'm led to believe WordPerfect works on Linux if you want commercial software. There is also a program entitled WORD being worded upon by the Linux Development Project (?is that the name?) IF you want something free and WYSIWYGish then the current favourite seems to be LYX, which is an interface to the popular Latex2e distribution. It makes working with Tex very easy. check out http://www-pu.informatik.uni-tuebingen.de/users/ettrich if you're in europe, or alternatively for the states check out http://www.lehigh.edu/~dlj0/ and the file was Lyrix.html or something. Hope to have helped Jay -- dept e&e eng I wish finger didn't exist glasgow uni vi gets me well cheesed g12 8tl but do send me an email United Kingdom and I'll be really pleased
