Exactly!  Having just written a thesis in LaTeX I found it unbelievably
easy and it produced fantastic results.  Most of my `class-mates' were
using WORD and I could only laugh at their constant complaints about WORD
losing their pictures or not doing what they wanted it to do!!
And most people agreed that my final result looked much more professional
than the papers produced by WORD.
