Using different text-entry programs for each slightly different task
is just a pain (especially if they have vastly different features: eg.
I used to use a wp which didn't have Undo, and I had no problems, but
now I'm used to a text editor with unlimited levels of Undo, I'd shoot
myself in to foot repeatedly if I took my new habits back to that old
Undo-less wp).

So, I write *everything* using my text editor. Similarly, I write in
only 3 text formats: LaTeX, HTML, and plaintext including source code.

I'm writing this email with the same text editor. I write letters with
this text editor using LaTeX, and it is a lot easier than you might think:

\documentstyle{letter}
\include{warwick} % I keep my address details in this file
\begin{document}
\begin{letter}{E.E. Allison\\
        99 Musgrave St\\
        North Rockhampton, Q, 4701}
\opening{Hi Mum,}
	...............
	..blah.........
	........blah...
	...............
\closing{Ya son,}
\end{letter}
\end{document}

Anyone who has used LaTeX for technical reports will find the above totally
obvious. And the output is, like all LaTeX, superb.
