There has been some discussion of that.  Mail me and I will send you a
LyX file that can help you.  It's basically a question of your .Xmodmap
file, not LyX itself.

Perhaps the newer version has that fixed.  At any rate it is a known
bug.  Get the most recent one from my homepage (0.7p4) and see if that
works; if not, the next one will.
