Hi everyone, I really really need help. I am new to LINUX, and I have read the FAQ but I cannot find a solution. I purchase a copy of "Unleash LINUX" book, and thinking I could learn or get more information about LINUX. Unfortunately, I cannot even get pass the first stage of the installation. This book comes with one CD (it has Slakware 2.2 with Xfree86 on it). The problem I have is... After the bootup, instead of getting this message Slakware login: I have, (none) login: I try to ignore the different and login as "root". I got a "#" prompt as expected, but then I simply cannot do anything from this point on. That is, "fdisk" or "setup" command is not found. My system configuration is 486-33 with 16Mb, SBPro, Ne200 network card, Tseng ET400 (not Local bus) 2 HD with 4 partitions (and thinking of using the last partition for Linux), ie, the "f:" drive. I have copy the whole "Slakware" sub-directory onto the "f:" drive as well. Would someone suggest what have I done wrong? Thanks in advance for any suggestion, Vi
