Hi, I'm running Slackware Linux with kernel version 1.1.59.
I installed only the base system originally, and now I am attempting to
install other applications.
I run the "setup" program but everytime the program goes to display a new
screen, it just sits there...
I have discovered that suspending the process (^Z) then re-starting (fg)
will push it along to the next screen...
I can install packages this way, but it is very time consuming and
annoying !!!

Any idea what might be causing this problem ?

thanks,

Sim'

PS. Linux also complains that my disk has 1048 cylinders and that this may
affect some programs... how do I stop this...
