[HELP] nntp server set up

Hi all

   I have a problem to setup me inn at my local hosts. The nntp is not working.
I only run the loopback on my system, I have not network connected. My hostname
is Athena.Janus.org.au 127.0.0.1. I just want to setup the news for my local
news.

   I have setup the /etc/inetd.conf for nntp as following:

nntp    stream  tcp     nowait  root    /usr/sbin/tcpd  /usr/sbin/in.nntpd

   and also I have setup /etc/services as following:

nntp            119/tcp         readnews untp   # USENET News Transfer Protocol

   /etc/nntpserver as:

Athena.Janus.org.au	#-- This is my local host

   /etc/hosts.allow as:

ALL: Athena.Janus.org.au
ALL: localhost

  /usr/lib/news/hosts.nntp

Athena.Janus.org.au:nonews

   /usr/lib/news/nnrp.access as:

Athena.Janus.org.au:Read Post:::*
localhost:Read Post:::*

*:: -no- : -no- :!*
*:Read Post:::*

   /usr/lib/news/nntpsend.ctl as:

Athena:Athena.Janus.org.au



   When I test the nntp by telnet localhost 119 then:

Athena:root:/usr/lib/news#telnet localhost 119
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
502 Athena NNTP server can't talk to you.  Goodbye.
Connection closed by foreign host.


   When I start the news as:

Athena:root:/usr/lib/news/etc#sh rc.news

   There are not any error message to show me.

   I can not post any news at the local news groups.

   Please help me to setup nntp server on my local host.
