Se my last post about not having a NCR BIOS on the motherboard or that
it is disabled. If you don't have the NCR BIOS then the only course
of action is to hack the kernel source so that when it sees a 0 it
changes it to whatever you want. The NCR BIOS initialises the chip
and the Linux kernel reads the config from the chip. So no NCR
BIOS and no initialisation.
