I am in the process of installing Linux on my home computer, but I am
having trouble, because I am rather limited in disk space. (~70 meg is
available for Linux)

The install scripts I am using (from the Yggdrasil CD) install great 
chunks of software  at one. Particularly in the /usr/bin and /usr/lib 
directories. But it offers very little explanation of  what all those
files are for.

I am going to have to delete some of this stuff, in order to fit Linux on
my drive, but I don't want  to remove anything that might be important. Is
there anywhere I can get a file by file (or at least directory by directory)
description of the files I have installed?

The Yggdrasil manual is highly UNinformative on the matter.
