He is trying to find out what software you are using if any. How are you
connecting the camera? Is it a usb cable from the camera to the comptuer?
Are you taking out the little memory card and plugging it in somehow (how)
to your computer, etc. 

If the former, it may be that the most recent shots are stored in the
camera and the old ones on the memeory card, or vice versa.
