That seem to be a tough question because, by the time the cheap card
reaches the MythTV web pages, the manufacturer may well have changed
the chip set without changing the model number. That said, the digital
part of my Leadtek DTV1000 T PCI card worked immediately under
Mythdora 3.2 and Mythbuntu 8.04. I have not succeeded in connecting a
VCR to the analogue inputs.

If you have not already done so I suggest you subscribe to the MythTV
users mailing list
<http://www.mythtv.org/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users/>. There is often
a discussion on the hardware required to set up a MythTV box and you
will receive good advice if you request information about specific
hardware. A searchable version of the list is at
<http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/>.
