I haven't had any updates for Ubuntu for three months. I used to get updates frequently. Is it something I said?

However, getting them on a regular basis I do a manual check every 2 days via admen panel and check for updates ? Perhaps other more knowledgeable Ubuntu Oz folks can chime in cheers

I will assume your Ubuntu machine can connect to the internet. What version of Ubuntu do you have? Can you run System > Administration > Update Manager ? Is "Update Notifier" listed and checked in your System > Preferences > Sessions > Startup Programs ?

There was a Firefox update last month.
I assume you have Firefox installed.
What version do you have? (In Firefox: Help > About Mozilla Firefox)
It should be 3.0.4.
In System > Administration > Software Sources,
(a) On the "Updates" tab, do you have "Check for updates" ticked?
(b) On the "Ubuntu Software" tab, are "main" and "universe" ticked?
(c) On the "Ubuntu Software" tab, on the "Download from" menu,
try choosing "Other..." then "Select Best Server"
to test your connection to the repositories.
(Note: I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 -- some of the above may be in different
places in 8.04.)
