(Talking to someone who didn't RTFM and had troubles booting Linux from OS/2
boot manager)

You actually need to create the partition and format it under OS/2. The
cook-book method is:

1) Boot OS/2. Run fdisk and create all the partitions you want. Exit and
   restart.
2) Boot OS/2. Format the partition that you're going to install Linux on.
Use fdisk to add it to the boot manager menu. Reboot.
3) Boot off your linux install disks, log on
4) run fdisk. Use fdisk, then 't' to change the partition types of your
linux partitions to 83 (Linux Native), and swap partitions to 82 (Linux
   Swap)
5) Start the setup program. Make sure you let it format both file-system
   partitions and swap partitions
6) When you get to the lilo configuration bit, select the "root" option.
(this means that the linux-loader goes at the start of your linux
partition, not at the start of the hard-drive)

Be careful of 1024 cylinder limits (can't boot off a partiton that goes over
1024). LBA fixes this, I think (? I don't know : mine's SCSI so no problem)

Um, that's about it. If you want to do stuff like multiple boot partitions,
you probably know enough to figure it out from there.
