Andrew.Tridgell@anu.edu.au writes in article <TRIDGE.95May9131140@arvidsjaur.anu.edu.au>: > > Mount the Windows D: CDROM (as above) but no files found. > > The problem is that Windows by default doesn't export cdroms > correctly. I remember vaguely that it is possible, and you need some > switch or other to mscdex. I actually did read this in the manual but couldn't find the mscdex line in my autoexec.bat at the time. Now I have and the linux box can list the contents of the cd fine and get files. i.e. it works. The OS/2 box however gets garbaged listings. I even went ahead and selectively installed CD ROM support. It gets bad listings on all CD's i.e. ones with rockwell extensions and plain FAT ones. BTW the os/2 box still trap 000d's when trying to read the windows hard drive. -- - Adam Frey obbc adam@eden.apana.org.au fxbbqyl Melbourne Australia - ------- Visit the Eden Etext Archives http://www.cs.rmit.edu.au/etext/ -------
