Hi All,

I've been having heaps of trouble with OS/2 since i bought a new *monitor*
(yep, weird hey?). My system: 486dx2/66, 16 meg RAM, OS/2 2.1, Diamond
Stealth Pro 2 meg VRAM VESA graphics card, NEC 4FGe monitor, 125 meg IDE
HDD, 250 meg IDE HDD (both Maxtor), Promise disk controller, Pro Audio
Studio card, NEC CDR-84 cd-rom drive.

I had been running OS/2 at 800*600 for ages without a hiccup, having the
Stealth card set to "fixed rate" for the monitor type. A week ago i bought
the NEC 4FGe, plugged it in, booted to DOS and ran STLMODE.EXE to change
the Stealth card monitor setting to 4FG, then ran it through all the
VGA/extended VGA modes without a hitch.

Then i booted up OS/2 and it hung in a big way (needed the big reset
button). I have tried installing new drivers (first setting OS/2 back to
VGA) but everytime the workplace shell goes to load up, the system dies.
Everything works fine under DOS. Any ideas?

Cheers,
Doug (doug@citr.uq.oz.au)
