I got the Mach64, OS/2 and Windows 3.11 to work together by setting up
Windows (from within Windows, running over DOS, not OS/2) as 640x480x16
using the Mach64 control panel. (Ie it looked just like plain VGA.)

Then I set up OS/2 (following the Mach64 instructions) and switched the
mode to 800x600x65536 using the System settings notepad in the
System-Settings folder.

As OS/2 reconfigured itself, it also modified Windows (ie the SYSTEM.INI) file
so that Windows now runs in 800x600x65536 mode - both under OS/2 and
when run independently (ie over DOS).

This all seems to work OK (odd things still happen, but I don't attribute these
to the video, I think OS/2 Warp might still be just a little buggy).

When I run Windows Setup (either from Win-OS/2 or from Windows over DOS)
the Display is reported simply as 'ATI' with no reference to resolution or
colours.

The display section of the MS Info utility (provided with MS Access) reports
the driver as FMACX.DRV (under the heading ATI).
