Run Microsoft/Microfocus COBOL under OS/2?

Has anyone had success installing Microsoft/Microfocus COBOL Version 3.5
(for MS/DOS and Windows) under IBM OS/2 V2.1? After a full installation we
compiled the demo program "TTDEMO". When attempting to run the compiled
the program the OS/2 error: "General access violation" resulted.

The response from the local Australian Microsoft telephone support service
was we were "outside the supported environment" by using the Microsoft
product under OS/2.

Any suggestions?
