Having solved my "no OS/2 cd-rom player software works" problem by using an updated TMV1SCSI.ADD, i'm left puzzled by the volume control. I recently upgraded to a 486dx2-66 with 8 meg RAM and so installed MMPM/2 (which caused the system to run too slowly on my previous h/ware). The OS/2 cd-player didn't work, but is now fixed (above). Can someone please tell me how the volume control works with the cd-player. Say i put in a cd and start playing it, but want to adjust the volume. I pop open the volume control and set it down to 50, but there is *no* dynamic change in the colume. Instead, when i close the volume control program, the sound comes out at the new volume. Is this the way it is meant to work? There must be a different way, because this would be *incredibly* stupid if it were the case. How can i get dynamic volume control? Please send email replies to doug@citr.uq.oz.au. Thanks, Doug
