The top of the line product which is offered for end users (which I have)
is the IBM Personal Dictation System. It costs $1000 ($500 for the special
ISA/MCA board and $500 for the software). It is actually quite good and after
it learns you does a pretty good job in getting the words correct. It can't
use the SB16 as it needs a special board (it has a special IBM DSP or RISC
chip in it, I am not positive).

They do make a cheaper version that can use the SB card called VoiceType 2.
I believe it is only a voice command system. The PDS has a dictation window
which you can talk into or you have use the wordprocessor if you have one
in which it is supported (Describe, Wordperfect for example). 

I don't know much about VoiceType 2, but I do have some experience with the
PDS if you need more information on it.
