Recently St George Bank have somehow changed the Internet Banking (java based) that now means that you cannot access it anymore using os/2 or eCs. Prior to this it worked perfectly with latest Browser and java vm etc. If anyone uses that bank and os/2 or eCs please send an email complaint - maybe if enough of us complain we can get them to re-instate or fix it for us (and maybe pigs will fly ...sic!) David

Hi - same as you - are you sure you have tried it recently? This appears to have only happened in the past few days. I have managed to find out how to solve the connection problem with the help of the Australian OS/2 users email group. You need to install prefbar.xpi and select mozilla 1.0 / win 98 - works like a charm now. Just dont tell the bank otherwise they will try to thwart us non standard users. OS/2 is a lot less "dead" than the silence the last few weeks would suggest! :-) How do you subscribe to the OS/2 users email group? Where do you get prefbar.xpi from? I did a search on the drive where my Moz 1.4.1 is installed and did not find such a file. -- My e-mail address to fox the pesky spammers is vbien at attglobal dot net
