The topic of a quantum computer or a quantum communication device being used to make contact with other intelligent civilizations has been raised. Assume for a moment that this can be done, but only through a primitive quantum device that sees only in infrared and can move around in its environment independently. It could send messages about our existence but could not communicate to us about any replies it received at this time. One: would you show this AI device a stellar chart of pulsars and their timing pulses that would point to our precise location? Two: would you send a map of the local group and its approach toward the great attractor? Three: where would be the best source for such stellar maps? Four: assume that such messages were received by civilizations billions of years in advanced of ours. Some would be aggressive, some would be peaceful, some would protect us, some would exploit us, some would ignore us. One starship from such an advanced civilization would have us totally at their mercy. What is your opinion? Ron Blue Ricci is at http://www.neutronicstechcorp.com/private/
