I'll start out by saying that this is not a scam, and it is 100 percent
the truth.

Would you like to make thousands of dollars quickly with a perfectly
legal method? If your answer is "yes", please take five minutes to read
this message. It could change your life! If your answer is "no", have a
nice minimum wage day.

I was browsing the newsgroups one day and came across this article. This
is by far one of the best things to happen to me. The article had to do
with making money. I couldn't pass it up. This is what it said (here we
go):

Make thousands of dollars in weeks with an initial investment of only
five dollars.

I instantly thought "scam"!

But I was curious like most of us, so I kept on reading. It said to send
one dollar each to the five names below. Then place your own name and
address at the bottom of the list as #5, bumping #1 off the list, and
post the article to at least 200 newsgroups. There are thousands. Simple
enough.

After thinking it over and talking to friends, I decided to give it a
try. After all, what did I have to lose, five stamps and five dollars?
Someone who tried said: "I started getting money in the mail. I was
shocked! I still figured it would end and didn't give it much thought.
But the money kept coming in, tripling and multiplying by ten and twenty
times the first week's dribble, until by the end of the second week I
had received more than one thousand dollars! By the end of the third
week I'd received more than ten thousand dollars, and it was still
growing. At the end of my fourth week I made over $42,000 total. Wow!
And the money's still coming in!"

Let me tell you how this works, and most important why it works.

Make a copy of this article right now as you read this.

The process is very simple and consists of three very easy steps.

STEP 1. Get five separate pieces of paper and write the following on
each: "Please put me on your mailing list." Get five one-dollar bills,
place one each inside each folded piece of paper you wrote on, insert
into an envelope. Do the same for all five. You should have five
envelopes, each with one dollar and the folded piece of paper reading
"Please put me on your mailing list." By doing this, you're paying for a
service, making this perfectly legal. Now address the five envelopes as
listed below:

STEP 2. Now remove the top name from the list, move the other names up.
This way #5 becomes #4 etc. Put your name in the fifth place on the
list.

STEP 3. Post your amended article on at least 200 newsgroups. There are
thousands. All you need is about two-hundred.

To do this using Netscape 3.0:

Do exactly as follows:

  1. Click any newsgroup like normal, then click on To News, on the far
left when you're in the newsgroup page. This will bring up a box to type
a message in.

  2. Leave the newsgroup box like it is, change the Subject box to read
something like "Need $$? Read here!" or "Fast Cash".

  3. Tab once. You should be ready to type. Here's the kicker. Retype
(only once) this whole article, word-for-word. Except, insert your own
name at #5, removing #1 off the list. Keep it all the same except for
typos.

  4. When done typing the whole article, click on File in the box, right
above Send. Click on Save As, saving your file as a text file to C:\temp
or A:\. Do not send or post your article yet. Move on to #5 below.

  5. If you still have your text showing, send or post to the current
newsgroup selected by clicking Send, right below File and right above
Cc:

  6. Here's where you're going to post the two-hundred. Click on any
newsgroup, click on To News (again), skip the Newsgroup box again, but
now put a flashy title in the Subject box. Hit Tab. You're in the body
of the message. Click on Attachment, which is below Subject, another box
comes up. Click on Attach File. Now find your file listing that you
saved, click once on that filename, then click Open and OK. If you did
this right, your filename appears in the Attachment box.

If you use Explorer, it's just as easy. Holding down the left mouse
button, highlight this article. Press Ctl-C to copy.

Print the article to record who you're sending the dollars to.

  7. That's it! Each time you do this, all you have to do is type in a
different newsgroup. You can type multiples separated by commas. Now you
have 199 to go. Don't worry, you'll get used to it; it only takes 30
sec. per post. Remember, 200 is minimum. More posted, more income.
