Hi everyone, I'm trying to set up a Magma 4-port serial card in an Ultra 2 running Solaris 9. I've installed the device driver package (had to do it twice since the first time it gave an error when running the postinstall script), however when I tried rebooting the machine with -r to make it rebuild the /dev and /devices trees, it's not creating any device nodes in /dev/term and /dev/cua for the ports on the card. Running it again with the '-v' option shows that the driver isn't being loaded. During the installation a 'forceload: /drv/mh' entry gets added to /etc/system and this seems to fail as there is an error message saying it can't for forceloaded. A little later on there is a message saying something about not being able to find a major device number (perhaps when the S46MAGMA.startup script runs?). Has anyone else had problems with the Sbus version of Magma's v5.4 allin1 driver package for Solaris 9? The PCI version works fine (in PCI-based systems with a PCI version of the card). I don't seem to have any problem manually loading the device driver module using 'modload', but that doesn't create device nodes. 8-) I've also tried running 'drvconfig' followed by 'ports' though the result is the same - no device links in /dev/term and /dev/cua are being created. Perhaps I'm missing something so feel free to hint at what I'm overlooking. I know the card itself is working as it was going a few days ago in a different system, but I'm going to confirm that for sure with another Sbus based machine just in case.
