I run Miktex on a Win95 machine. I have a local and nonlocal tree as suggested, but I am unsure where I should put supported, contributed styles (e.g. hangcaption.sty) and non-supported styles in the directory path. Does one make an ad-hoc decision, or are there some sensible guidelines I should follow?
