Hello Everyone, I am new to this ng, and hope someone can help. I have an AT board, I recently started getting error messages about my CMOS batt. I looked high and low for it. There was a black box on the MoBo with RTC printed on top. OK, no brainer, Real Time Clock. Taking the cover off it revealed the cmos chip, with an onboard battery. Pinch welds to the battery, and soldered to two leads comming from the chip. I pulled the chip with hopes of replacing the chip or just the batt. No such luck. No one I have talked to has ever seen that config. Unfortunatly, the MoBo is generic, and I have no idea the manufacurer. I have been searching the web looking for poss. cross referencing, or a site I can purchase this chip. If anyone has seen this before, and knows where I can go to possibly find a replacement. You would be a life saver, and a hair saver -- as I am pulling mine out by the hand full. Thanx in advance,
