Just received a renewal notice after my first year with them and they were
going to automatically debit my credit card at renewal date.

As a matter of personal policy I *never* *ever* set up automatic debits
for these things and - apparently - this is what they do as standard when
you pay online. Usually setting up any automatic payment requires explicit
permission and usually some extra paperwork, but this mob sneak it in on
the standard transaction.

I had to ring them up and arrange for the policy to be cancelled at the
renewal date to stop this automatic debit which I wasn't even aware of
until I read the renewal notice.

Beware of companies that want a permanent hand in your pocket.
