I purchased a new TV last year and I just filled in the forms to get a $45 rebate from the Victorian Government under the VEET scheme. You get rebates for High Efficient TVs, Dryers, Fridges, Freezers and can see what rebate you get here using the calculator: https://www.veet.vic.gov.au/Public/Calculator/VEECCalculator.aspx Various organisations seem to be able to do this for you, here is the one I used: http://www.ecovantage.com.au/index.php/residential/rebates-and-incentives/rebates-are-available-in-vic-when-purchasing-led-tvs I am a bit surprised that the TV retailer didn't tell me about this scheme as an incentive to buy, but since I have stumbled onto it maybe others can cash in as well! -- Regards, David.
