All O'Farrell and all LIEBERALS for that matter, are good for is to bat for
the rich. Let's hope this downgrading of warranty gets as much exposure as
the Carbon Tax.. I dont think so Joyce.

Poor socialist loser.

See you in power in 20 years.

The excessive regulation simply increases the cost of housing. As a
leftist loser, you obviously don't care that we have the least
affordable homes in the world.

If there are defects in a building someone has to pay to sort them
out. Shorten the warranty period and you need to increase the body
corp levies so as to build up a reserve to cover possible work.

If you get the quality right in the first place, the cost of a
warranty is negligible. British Leyland in the 1970s were reputedly
spending 10% of the cost of a car on warranty work; the Japs came
in with three warranties that cost them a fraction of this.

The fact they offer long warranties means the Japs don't expect any
claims because the cars are good quality.

If buildings are good quality, there shouldn't be any warranty claims
either. Long warranties only drive up cost if quality is poor, or normal
wear and tear is mistaken for poor quality.

As a Luddite Lieberal, you'd be the FIRST to demand better regulation of air
transport if planes started crashing tho...how about removing the negative
gearing so you rich greedy pricks can let the young ones afford a home? I
wont hold my breath waiting for a yes LOL.

We have the least affordable *land* in the world. We have owned 3 houses
and the previous 2 were bulldozed when we sold them, this one will be
too. Perfectly liveable structures worthless because of land value.

You actually think this is a useful discussion?
Maybe your time would be more productive window shopping for some moar
tacky chipboard furniture.

Or better yet, take some basic guitar lessons and/or remedial
songwriting. Something's just not right when you lose bookings to a
Milli Vanilli tribute band.
