Renewal arrives in the mail - ~$541. Go to the website of the same company and go through the process of a quote for *exactly* the same cover and conditions - $460. The GIO 15% online discount for car insurance really does apply!!! These companies must make billions on relying that people will mindlessly just fill in the form and send it back. -- Regards, David. Yep, AAMI have been doing the same for decades, long before any "on-line discount" (or even the internet!). It's about attracting new customers, and extracting as much as possible from existing ones. Many other companies do the same thing, not just insurance companies. Always get a new quote. MrT.
