# People have had insulation batts put in their ceilings for years, with no
problems.
The batts consisted of rectangular slabs of non-combustible, porous (air
is a bad conductor), light-weight, material, and were simply placed in the
ceiling, between joists - no need to staple anything.
But now, some smarties come up with metal sheeting, and stapling, and
other clever ideas.
Better to stick to the traditional method; you could even
do-it-yourself - like tiling a patio.
