StepBridge Australia is about to start!

On october 10th this new Australian Internet Bridge Club will start
officialy with a testmatch between the Olympiad teams from Australia and the
Netherlands.

Representing Australia:

Tony Nunn-Sartaj Hans and Terry Brown-Phil Gue.

Representing the Netherlands:

Bas Drijver-Maarten Schollaardt and Jan Jansma-Louk Verhees.

This testmatch over 24 boards can be followed live over the Internet on
www.stepbridge.com.au, where you'll receive a username and password after
the free registration.

StepBridge Australia is the new Australian Internet Bridge Club which gives
you the opportunity to play at any time of the day as often and as much as
you like. It is suitable for recreational players, club players and expert
players.

StepBridge is a true contest between two pairs who try to get the maximum
result out of each game, measured against the results at other tables.
StepBridge has a unique feature. After 30 boards your score will be
evaluated against standards set out in the competition rules. If your score
exceeds the top standard you will be promoted to the next level. On the
other hand if your score falls below the bottom standard you will be
relegated. The ratings vary from 1 to 9 with additional stars above the 9
level. To keep the game competitive for everyone, players with lower ratings
will get compensation if they play against the real topguns.

StepBridge is invented in The Netherlands where it became in a short period
the worlds largest official bridge club with over 7000 members and still
growing. The club is a member of the Dutch Bridge Federation NBB.

Note: All spectators and players of the testmatch will get all the
boardrecords by email immediatly after the last board has been played.
