Am looking for a set of cordless headphones to watch TV (DVDs actually).

What do people recommend in the $100 to $150 price range?

I'm in Melbourne so if anybody knows any good deals going for some ...

thanks in advance

That's what body-guards are for.

Sorry, but I disagree. What if your body guard hits some dude, and the
dude is piss-weak like Hooksey and drops down dead? You are better off
not hearing or seeing anything. Just let the body guard fry and get
another one. You don't want to be tied up giving evidence in court do
you?

If you were inside your house watching tv, you may hear the meteor, but
you wouldn't have any idea where it was going to land - so you wouldn't
know how to get out of its way. Besides, that argument is flawed.
Meteors don't make a sound - the only sound you would hear would be the
sound of the movement of air around the meteor - which would be some
significant seconds behind the meteor. You do remember that sound
travels much slower than light? Besides, surely the body guard could be
trained to alert you to such things as a meteor shower? (at extra cost
of course).

I've used them before and they are quite good. I don't use them anymore
mainly due to the security aspect. You can't hear what's going on around
you when they are on :-)

I don't know if you are just being difficult or not? You are saying
that you don't use headphones because you like to hear what's around
you. You only have 1 set of ears I assume. So you can only hear what's
around you. If you hire a body guard (and shit, lets face it, who
doesn't need one these days) the guard can act as your set of ears. If
he is with you 24/7, then you are covered. You can use your headphones,
satisfied that if anything should happen, he/she will alert you. Plus,
you get the added bonus of having a friend on call 24/7. It's a win win
situation.

Why not hire a 2nd guy to listen to what the body guard is up to, and
give you a daily report (in triplicate).

Not if the 2nd guy is a mute. You have to start to think outside the
circle.

women. They certainly wouldn't "rifle thru" your "stuff". You have
nothing to fear in that regard.

But that was in the 'bad old days'. The entire industry has been
cleaned up, and they are all thorough professionals - each and every one
of them. Besides, you'd obviously interview and screen any potential
body guards you were thinking of employing wouldn't you? Surely you
can tell if someone is trustworthy etc during the interview.

Hi Peter,

That sounds good.
