What is The Right Thing to do with ...oz.au addresses that fail DNS lookup? Currently my sendmail expects to resolve oz.au addresses via the DNS. If I really want an ACSnet site then .oz (no .au) will cause sendmail to dump the message on ACSnet. This just happens to be rather simple to set up with IDA sendmail. There are some (many?) sites that exist on ACSnet that don't have MX records so mail addressed to them using ...oz.au bounces. Currently, when this happens I just send a short note suggesting the sender retry using ...oz. How do others handle this? Is it even worth worrying about? -- Richard Perini Phone: +61 2 9064333 Corinthian Engineering Fax: +61 2 9061556 Sydney, Australia Internet: rpp@ci.com.au
