Deleting mail directly from the server

Twice now I've been unable to access my e-mail from a POP server because
it's been queued behind a big message which won't download. I've looked at
various Win95 mail notification programs but haven't been able to find one
that will allow the user to delete mail directly from the server without
downloading it to my own PC - i.e. after showing me the headers but before
trying to download the text. Can anyone point me to a program that will do
this?

Thanks

Jonathan.

Should be:
telnet popserver.com.au. 110
(or "telnet popserver.com.au. 109" if it's not a POP3 server)
