My original Statement of Claim went for:
(1) Breach of Statutory Duty (the pro Vice Chancellor did follow the University's IP Regulations),
(2) The Common Law Breach of Duty of Care,
(3) Statement of Claim for Invalidity, and
(4) Infringement of Plant Breeders' Right.

They did not do a defence because we couldn't agree on the terms of the Arbitration Agreement.

I tried to get the Vice-Chancellor to commission an independent external inquiry into the matter - he refused.

I asked the University Senate for an external independent inquiry - they refused.

I intend to file a 'writ of summons' and following that a 'statement of claim' in July-August. We have two state courts - the Supreme Court for damages claims over $250,000 and the District Court for damages less than $250,000. I have not decided what to go for yet.
